Adding Opportunities to the CT Mobile app

Activate the Opportunity module and, optionally, specify criteria for the records that should be available in the CT Mobile app.

Add Opportunity to the Menu

To add the Opportunity module to the menu and support the custom synchronization and logic:

  1. Go to CT Mobile Control Panel: App Menu tab.

  2. Select the required profile in the Location picklist. To apply settings to all the profiles, select General Settings.

  3. Drag and drop Opportunity from the Available list to the Selected list.

  4. Click Save.

The setup is complete.

Set Up Criteria to Download Records

By default, all active records of Opportunity Product, Price Book, and Price Book Entry will be downloaded. Add criteria to download the desired records of the Opportunity and related objects:

  • In CT Mobile Control Panel

  • In CT Mobile Control Panel 2.0

  1. Go to CT Mobile Control Panel: Offline Objects.

  2. Select the required profile in the Location picklist. To apply settings to all the profiles, select General Settings.

  3. Drag and drop the required objects from the Available list to the Selected list:

    • Opportunity

    • Opportunity Product

    • Price Book

    • Price Book Entry

  4. Specify SOQL filter to download only matched records.

  5. Click Save.

  2. Select the required profile in the Profile picklist. To apply settings to all the profiles, select General Settings.

  3. Move the required objects from the Available list to the Selected list:

    • Opportunity

    • Opportunity Product

    • Price Book

    • Price Book Entry

  4. Specify SOQL filter to download only matched records.

  5. Click Save.

The setup is complete.

Supported Special Logic for Objects and Fields

There is a list of the object and fields to which the special logic of the Opportunity module is applied. For more information, go to Working with Opportunities.

  • Opportunity

    • Stage

    • Probability

    • Forecast Category

    • Amount

    • Expected Revenue.

  • Opportunity Line Item

    • Salesforce Product;

    • Price Book Entry;

    • List Price.

Specify Forecast Category and Probability for Opportunity

Business purposes divide the opportunity flow into several stages and specify Forecast Category and Probability per each stage.

  • The Stage field of the Opportunity object controls the Probability and Forecast Category fields.

  • Types of the Stage picklist values control available values in the Forecast Category field.

To customize the desired Stage picklist values:

  1. Go to Setup → Object Manager → Opportunity → Fields & Relationships → Stage.

  2. In the Opportunity Stage Picklist Values section, click New to add a stage or Edit next to the desired stage to change it.

  3. Click Save.

The setup is complete.
