3. Creating Vision Settings Records

After installing the CT Vision package, create required Vision Settings records:

  1. On the Vision Photo object, create a lookup field to each object, on which you will make photos (the Vision Object).

  2. Go to the Vision Settings tab → click New.

    If the tab is missing, create a custom tab for the Vision Settings object.

  3. In the New Vision Setting window, select the record type and click Next.

  4. Create the Vision Object record, it is required for CT Vision Lite operation. On the Vision Photo Lookup field on the Vision Object, specify API name of the lookup field created on the step 1.

  5. Create the MobileId__c (Text 255) field on the required Vision object in order to identify whether a record has been created on a mobile device or in Salesforce. Photos taken on a mobile device will be attached only to the records with the specified Mobile Id, and the taken photos will be stored on a mobile device up to 7 days.

  6. If necessary, create the following records which extend the CT Vision Lite functionality:

  7. Specify parameters and click Save.

  8. Repeat steps 2–3 to create all required and, if needed, additional Vision Settings records.

The setup is complete.
